I have a Linux PC L that is connected to the Internet through a LAN N, with IP addresses in the 192.168.0 network. L is acting as a hotspot for wireless devices, in a network N' with IP addresses in the 10.0.0 network. When a wireless device connects to L, L supplies W (with the help of dnsmasq) with its IP address and DNS server IP address, all in the N' network. This setup works as expected, in that W can access the Internet without any problems. As configured, L will supply W with L's own IP address in N' as the IP address of the DNS server to be used by W. Ideally, what I would like to do is for L to supply the IP address of a different system, in N - not in N', for W to use as its DNS server. Can this be done at all? I guess I can create all sorts of routes in L between N and N' - in fact, that is already done, for W can access the Internet, and that is done through N. Abstracting from the setup above, can L be configured so that W, when connected to the hotspot created in L, can access, besides the Internet, any system in N?
