I've been using PHP for prototyping and i've been able to do some fairly interesting things with it, but i'm at the point of moving to C/C++ and the only value ncurses has to me at this point is that i could then run my backup and boot-setup utilities. I'll just reboot into debian-jessie when i need these functions. I thought about installing a previous version of php-cli but the only one in the Ubuntu repos is the one already installed. If somebody comes up with a better answer, that would be great, but I'm not willing to make a career out of installing PHP extensions, debugging make file is not my thang. Thanks very much.
