 use a stronger transistor, eg TIP31, 2N3055, etc.
 a 4 ohm speaker.
 and increase the supply voltage to 12V 

a capacitor in series with pin3 and a diode up from ground will save
much energy. maybe start with 100nF and increase it if that's too quiet.

if that's still not enough, you'll want a real audio amplifier... 
(actually you probably want a real audio amp as it is).
