IIRC, this hardcore alloca hack-around-the-problem, was suggested to me
by an Intel paper that I cannot seem to find right now. I remember
reading it, wrt the fact that they noticed the sharing problem in early
hyperthreaded processors, and this alloca hack-in-the-box thing "fixes
it". Heck IIRC, I used the extra space in alloca to store some static
things that did not mind being destroyed at scope end.
Ahh hell, this was back in 2005, using msvc 6.0 and its crazy dinkumware
and nasty c++ template oddities.
