I animated it apparently well before you were born...about ten years ago...

...as I said to bartek, let's say there are 100 wavelengths in one ray 
and 102.3 in the other. During the time the next emitted one goes from 
source to the receiver (same time in each ray) 100 waves will enter the 
receiver from one ray and 102.3 from the other.

DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?
