That is not sainthood, heroic, or virtuous.

For the most part, if you inspire hatred from the world or significant
numbers of people, you are doing something wrong.  It is certainly no
indication that you are doing something virtuous, heroic or saintly!

No one is "called" to seek out hatred.  You might feel you are "called"
to do something unusual with your life, and people might not understand
it or why you live the way you do.  But that is not hatred.

Look at /real/ (Christian, for simplicity) religious leaders such as
priests or missionaries.  If a priest or minister inspires hatred, he or
she is a total failure at their job.  No one persuades another person to
join their religion by making people hate them - even Jehovah's
Witnesses provoke irritation rather than hatred.

Of course if you contact enough people, there will always be the odd
person who hates you, no matter what your beliefs are.  But that is
/their/ problem, not yours.  However, if there is a pattern in it, and
you find that many people hate you, it is /your/ problem.  It is not
because you have faith, or because others are sinners, or because of the
devil - it is because of /you/.  And people like Rick, or the Westpro
Baptist "Church", who actively seek out a masochistic martyr role, are
demonstrating serious social or psychological problems rather than any
sort of "sainthood".  It is a kind of addiction or paranoia, and it is
self-reenforcing.
