Tom, you seem to be under the impression that a signal from an orbiting satellite will leave its source at c relative to the ECI frame rather than to its source. Do you really think light is smart enough to be able to discriminate between the Earth's, the Sun's or any other inertial frame in the universe? Of course it isn't. Tom there is no aether or magic medium. Light has only one speed reference, its own source. The signals move at c relative to the satellite and travel to a ground receiver that is moving in the satellite's frame. The signal obviously travels at c+v in the receiver's frame. > Tom Roberts
