There are around 3 000 or 3 500 gods in existence (actively followed by 
actual people).

There are countless dead gods, i.e. gods that no longer have living 
supporters. The aztec gods that imply somehow children sacrifice have 
disappeared and no longer we sacrifice children.

But there are hindus beliefs, for instance, that assign a "caste" to 
people. So, if you are born into the pariah caste, you belong to the 
"untouchables", people that other people should not ever touch.

The rich are the "brahmins", that control everything for their benefit.

The gods around there are no worst than the gods involved in the north 
ireland conflict, where both parties belong to gods that actually said 
that they should do otherwise: jesus followers of protestant and not 
protestant confessions go on killing themselves for completely stupid 
beliefs.

Too much nonsense, this belief has caused countless human deaths, all 
for nothing. It is called colective hysteria and perdures for so long as 
we do not free ourselves from it.

There is no factual basis for any god. All those beliefs are just that:

LEGENDS !!!!!

They have no factual basis in reality.

What is reality?

Is that that rests even if you stop believing in it. Reality is that 
that doesn't care about your beliefs and goes its course outside your 
petty desires.

In reality there is one being (of course) where we all belong:

life

We are living beings and we can't survive more than 4 to 5 weeks without 
other life in form of nourishment. We need other life to keep living, no 
batteries, after a few weeks you are dead.

That is reality. Life exists within and without you. It is you that are 
a part of life, from a long descent into consciuosness until you are the 
struggle of all living beings to which you belong.

After we realize that we just do not know, we can start learning and 
make our first steps in the way of knowledge.
