Again, this depends on the delivered stroke. If you were going to draw 
the ball, you would pull the stroke so that the tip of the cue never 
passes through the original center of the cue ball. By that time, the 
cue ball has left the tip anyway. It's only on slow, pushed strokes with 
a fair amount of topspin that the follow-through would have an impact on 
the ball, as you know.
