You people are forgetting that all the time signals of, say, 12.00000 from the satellites arrive at different instants at a particular receiver. They might arrive milliseconds apart. Anyway my original post was more about determining the distance of an object that is moving towards an observer. If its time signal moves at c+v, its original distance was c+v(t'-t).
