A mutation is a genetic defect. This
very fact points us to creation where
there were no genetic defects because
there was perfection in the genomes
of all living things.

Since the Fall, we have experienced
devolution, rather than evolution
because we have descended from a
perfect Creation.

What you call a "successful mutation"
is a mutation that confers an advantage
in a limited setting only.
