That is true. And many people post using fake email addresses (because they don't want email from other Usenet denizens, or from spam harvesters). And some people prefer to be anonymous in Usenet by using a pseudonym. That is all fine. But please do /not/ copy somebody else's name or address, and make fake posts in their name - not even to demonstrate that it is possible. It totally undermines the whole basis of Usenet, which relies on the trust that people are who they say they are (even if that "person" is a dedicated Usenet persona rather than a real-life person).
