A Japanese researcher rotated a heavy steel bar at about 30hz and detected the gravity waves at up to 10 metres away using a resonance technique. Torsion balances were also used. What about measuring the pressure of light using mechanical resonance methods? The energy required to cause a fine wire to vibrate at its resonant frequency in vacuum is extremely small.
