Yes, precisely. That's how I feel. I don't really doubt that the Nexus 7 
hardware would be capable of running Nougat, so it seems to be meanness 
on their part, and make me more likely to drop Android for a Windows 10 
device. That's the only way to vote, by not buying their products.

If they were really serious about wanting a greater take-up of Nougat, 
why not follow Microsoft's example? I'm very happy with Windows 10 and 
am running it on both my current laptop and my old HP cheapie one. My 
current laptop has touch screen, so I know how Windows 10 works with touch.
