Plants are the source of carbon in the soil. Increasing
carbon content of the soil increases the ability of plants
to remove more carbon from the air and store more in the
soil. If this natural process were not being interfered with
by counter producrive agricultural practices, there would be
no problem with excess carbon in the atmosphere.

The current production model for agriculture is counter-
productive to both the goal of producing crops and livestock
and to the goal of sustaining life. Turning atmospheric
carbon into stone is just adding more of the same stupidity.
