Electrons aren't discs. John is thinking that quantum mechanical spin is 
like the spin of a rotating disc. It's not.

Electrons aren't nothing. Volume is not a property mandatory for existence.

Sure, quantum numbers can exist for electrons and that's in fact what 
physicists say. Doesn't make quantum mechanical spin the spin of a disc 
though.
