Absolutely. > > i would use Mac at home for only one reason: developing for it(eg iOS). > But they don't have reasonable desktop offer. Apple has always focused on external devices and using an ever changing interface to support those devices. The latest is Thunderbolt. It fits into their non-standard case philosophy. They also have a build it the way you want it from day one or you are screwed philosophy. Upgrades that are trivial to a PC can be extremely expensive or impossible with some Apple devices. I find OSX to be quite bloated and Apple systems to be nothing special considering their high price. At one point I believed that the reason for Apple's high prices was because they control literally everything and all of this is tested and retested to a high degree. Much unlike Microsoft who have to support all kinds of third party hardware and software and various combinations of such. The release of El Capitan deleted that myth from my brain as it has been a horror story for many people and especially those in the multimedia field which happens to be one of Apple's most lucrative markets. It's been 8 months since the release and only now is it getting supported by oem manufacturers. That is not a good sign. -- Meat Why do they call you Meat? Is it because you are so big? Yep. You catch em and I'll stretch em. My college nickname was "The Stretch-Her"
