You're full of it.  It takes about an hour.  Even if you uncheck
that <laughing> Windows Store crap, and the <OMG!> Office developer
bullshit.  That's still too long though.

Then you have to find and install the latest big-ass patch.
Hope it fixes the bugs in VS.

You might also need to install additional versions of .NET
Framework.

Really, you're better off sequestering your Windows installs
in a virtual machine, keeping backups or snapshots before installing
each major package.  Unless you like crossing your fingers and waiting
for a "restore point" to operate.
