For example, I've heard people (highly intelligent people, who work with complex code bases) state that they "need" TortoiseSVN, that figuring out the svn commands and the console pipelines are "too difficult". But others find that the console fits their workflow better. Same with MySQL Workbench versus using the mysql command line. Same with an IDE versus a few consoles/tmux panes and powerful console tools. Often, we use a mix of GUI and console tools, almost seamlessly. Choice is good. -- You could live a better life, if you had a better mind and a better body.
