I have no insight as to whether any of the 108 billion people who have EVER lived might or might not have had exceptional abilities, especially those who lived well before 1600, where historical documentation gets really spotty. I know there are people who have been declared dead by medical authorities and then got up from a morgue table 2 days later. I know there are people who have been able to take a helicopter overpass above a city and then draw the entire city in completely accurate detail from memory. I know twins who feel pain in limbs when the other is hurt in the same limb, even though they are separated.
