I have what was a high end PC when I bought it in 1999 that I still use 
daily. It is a dual processor 1.2 or 1.4Ghz machine running W2000. It 
has two monitors on it that have both been replaced twice.  At some 
point I maxed out the RAM it will support and I replaced the hard drive 
a few years ago to get more space.

It is the only desktop I still use.

I typically replace laptops every 3 or 4 years. Tablets seem to 
majically no longer get used after a couple years. The only exception is 
a old ASUS memo pad that has a low resolution camera to complain about.

I am currently on a trip with two laptops and three tablets (two windows 
and the ASUS android). It is a crazy computing world we live in.
