To you it may be an endless source of fascination. It may also feed your belief that the ills of the world are all caused by secret shadow organizations that control all the power and steer our fates, and ordinary people are just victims of this scheming. I personally share neither your sense of victimization or dread about our future. Though I don't work for a major corporation or government agency, I don't hold them responsible for the evils of the world like some people do and apparently you do. I do not feel so disempowered that I look to aliens or spiritual messiahs to save us from those evils. So fret and dither all you want about secret technologies and disinformation campaigns and corruption in high places. You're going to find that most people do not have the angst-driven interest in them that you and people like you have. Most people take ownership in their share of the solution, and they have a much better outlook on life than you do. That's not to say you're alone.
