Thanks for that info, Paul. I may not get to that store today .. it 
started snowing fairly heavy just before dawn, and travel may become a 
problem.  :-(

I see the place also has a Lenovo laptop with a 17-inch screen and 
otherwise similar specs to the HP Pavilion, for just a few dollars more.
