Below is a list of platforms for which Chrome is available.
* Windows: XP Service Pack 2 or 3 / Server 2003 Service Pack 1 or later
/ Vista / Server 2008 / 7 / 8 / Server 2012 / 8.1 / 10 / Server 2016
o Support for Windows XP and Vista will end in April 2016
* OS X: 10.6 or later
o Support for 32-bit Macs ended in October 2014
o OS X 10.6, 10.7, and 10.8 support will end in April 2016
* Linux[note 4]
o Support for 32-bit Intel processors will end in March 2016
* Android 4.0 or later
* iOS 7.0 or later

"Google ends 32-bit Linux support for Chrome
To provide the best experience for the most-used Linux versions,
we will end support for Google Chrome on 32-bit Linux, Ubuntu Precise (12.04),
and Debian 7 (wheezy) in early March, 2016. Chrome will continue to function
on these platforms but will no longer receive updates and security fixes.
We intend to continue supporting the 32-bit build configurations on Linux
to support building Chromium. If you are using Precise, we'd recommend
that you to upgrade to Trusty.
The first signs of the end of 32bit are on the wall - starting with Linux.
I wonder how long Google will continue to support 32bit Chrome on Windows.
For some strange reason, Microsoft is still selling 32bit Windows 10.

That looks like the shift to 64 bit executables.
Not some earthshaking change in support by OS.
The support by OS is "normal", with end-of-life
products being candidates for removal of support.
Some support extended past end-of-life by a fair bit
(like WinXP and Vista dying on the same day).
