And so, John, you have avoided the question I asked you, which was: 
"What is the source of your resistance to learning some math?"
Maybe you could focus on the actual question being asked....

But since you brought up your analogy/visual, let's then summarize that 
would leave us: There is a model involving delocalization (which 
chemists seem to like a lot) and then there's yours (which you seem to 
like a lot). So there must be some way to determine which of these two 
schemes really reflects reality. Hmmmm...... Some way .... Some way.... 
Can you think of a way to determine which one is right, John? (Please do 
not say common sense, or worse, logic.)
