You may have "solved" something, but for youself only.
Bring radicals have been "a thing" for a while (150+ years).
But that is obviously not a new solution for polys as you originally jumped to.
The earliest known solutions for special case quintics date to 2000 BCE Babylon.
Specific polynomials >= deg 4 were also the province of rivalries between
court magicians for centuries.
When I went to grade school in the 50s you were expected to be able to do
those trivial things by hand or in your head.
All of that was fairly trivial, if tedious.
There really have been a lot of clever people working on polys for the
past 200-300 years.
Try looking up the mountain of work related to Tschimhaus, Jerrard, Bring or
Hermite or Glasser.
