All living things need legs and arms and fins to get around in water or on rough land. The laws of physics and chemistry are the same everywhere and the same element are available. All planets that support life will have water and oxygen, moons and tides and be similar to our earth. The DNA molecule doesn't have much choice about what it produces. I reckon bits of DNA have been floating around hte universe for billions of years, dropping onto various planets and infecting the life there..or starting it.. > -- wds
