You can do that with two ping pong balls. Tape a long length of thread to two ping pong balls and suspend them both by draping the thread over someone's finger. Now rub the two ping pong balls on a dog to charge them up. You'll see them repel each other, so that the thread forms the two sides of an isosceles triangle. This is third grade science.
