Well, IT *may* be voltage versus zero residual charge, but only in case you consider real charge on the electrode, and not the charge you placed there while charging it, as they may differ. E.g. if you place charges +q1 -q1 on electrodes, and attach the negative electrode to positive potential, the electrodes would have charges +q1 + deltaq1 , -q1 + deltaq1 -- Poutnik ( the Czech word for a wanderer ) Knowledge makes great men humble, but small men arrogant.
