GPS has nothing to do with Jan's experiment.
Two optical clocks start side by side.
One is raised by 30 cm, kept there for some time, then brought back
beside the other.
Then their accumulated cycle difference is compared locally.
No GPS.
No distant synchronization.
No one-way speed of light.
No coordinate convention.
At the end, the clocks are again side by side.
So what, precisely, makes them "unusable for a direct measurement"?
And what does your theory predict?
N1 = N2
or
N1 != N2 ?
You already said that reunited clocks "obviously" must have counted
the same number of cycles.
Jan has just described an experiment testing exactly that claim.
Saying "GPS" doesn't answer it.
There is also a certain historical irony here.
You regularly explain how science went wrong under communism in
Eastern Europe and Russia: doctrine came first, and inconvenient
experimental results could simply be declared invalid.
Now we have:
Doctrine: reunited clocks MUST show equal cycle counts.
Experiment: directly compare reunited clocks.
Result disagrees with doctrine.
Maciej: those clocks are "unusable".
Careful, comrade. You're starting to reproduce the methodology you
keep blaming on the old regime.
