You're right that tritium produces very low energy radiation. That's why they use something *extremely* sensitive to radiation like liquid scintillation. A liquid scintillation detector would go nucking futs in the presence of high levels of radiation such as from a nuke. Oh, by the way, even if you ignore that, liquid scintillation didn't detect all the tritium that a real nuke would spew all over the place. As I already stated, they registered 2.3 and 2.1 on the Richter scale. And as I also mentioned, the Richter scale measures total energy, not the amount of shaking at one spot. A lot of shaking at a small spot (such as at one tower) has a relatively small amount of energy compared to a real 5.0 earthquake. Also, a real 5.0 quake has its active shaking miles below the surface. The shaking in a real 5.0 quake is from miles away even if you're right at the epicenter. And once again, you have no answer to the lack of the unique signature that only a nuclear detonation produces.
