I'm not trying to discredit the witnesses -- they're perfectly capable of doing that themselves. The point is that the UFO researchers have misrepresented their case. They have played their readers into thinking that there were 75, 90, maybe hundreds of witnesses to the event. So, heck, with hundreds of witnesses, there's no denying that it happened, right? Except that was a lie. It's a handful of people claiming that something happened. So the argument that something undeniably happened (hundreds of witnesses!), it's really an argument that something undeniably happened because a number of people you can count with the fingers on one hand said it happened -- and the UFO researchers that wrote the books obviously misrepresented how many witnesses there really were. Some readers of the books these researchers put out were obviously misled. And now the question is, do those readers feel duped?
