Hi guys,

Just a quick announcement that Bochs
  http://bochs.sourceforge.net/
now supports and emulates a USB Floppy Drive via the CBI interface.

If you are working on your USB code, this addition might help
you a little bit.

I tried to make the code self explanatory, but if you have any
questions, feel free to ask.

Also, Chapter 18 in my book

explains this process in much more detail.

The current emulation within bochs only supports a 1.44meg disk,
and there isn't anyway to change disks while the guest is being
emulated, but the core part of the USB is there.  One of the
maintainers of Bochs is working on adding a few more features
and the two of us are trying to find out why it doesn't work
on some Linux Guests.  However, the core part is there and you
should be able to understand how it works, if you are interested.
