I'm not sure what the intersection of Gentoo Linux users and Apple II users looks like (hopefully it's more than just me), but I've knocked together an ebuild that quickly gets you up and running with KEGS. It's in my Portage overlay, under app-emulation: https://github.com/salfter/portage Assuming you already have layman working, installing KEGS looks something like this: 1) sudo layman -a salfter 2) sudo emerge kegs 3) cp /usr/share/kegs/boot.hdv /usr/share/kegs/config.kegs ~ 4) sudo modprobe snd_pcm_oss (fix your /etc/conf.d/modules to do this at boot) 5) ./xkegs (or you can find KEGS in your program launcher menu) The ebuild pulls a KEGS bundle from Asimov that includes ROM images and a hard-disk image with System 6.0.1; you just need to copy the disk image and config file to your home directory so they're writable. _/_ / v \ Scott Alfter (remove the obvious to send mail) (IIGS( https://alfter.us/ Top-posting! \_^_/ >What's the most annoying thing on Usenet?
