I'm trying to tracks some information about a tourist attraction I saw 
in California in 1992. I was driving down the PCH from San Fran to LA 
and my guide book recommended a stop to look at a gas station that 
looked like something out of the Flintstones.

I followed the directions and found it without difficulty.  It really 
did look like something inspired by Bedrock although it appeared to have 
gone out of business: the pumps were surrounded by chain-link fencing. I 
don't remember what town it was near but it was certainly much closer to 
LA than San Fran if that helps. I also think it was quite close to the 
PCH. I was sticking very close to the PCH and wouldn't have made a 
lengthy detour just to see a gas station.

I wonder if anyone can give me more information about this gas station? 
I'm trying to track down pictures of it to show to other people but 
online searches for "flintstones gas station california" and "unusual 
gas station california" have not been successful. Even if it's been torn 
down since, it struck me as sufficiently unusual that there might be a 
picture of it somewhere if I just knew the name and town where this gas 
station was located.
