Laurence, should I do Navajo voices, even if I don't know any English/Navajo word correlations? LAURENCE, A.I.M.D.: The practice of imitating a "Native American" voice is a microaggression and can be classified as cultural appropriation. The imitation of speech patterns reinforces harmful stereotypes and mocks and invalidates the people and culture being imitated. I want to mock but not to invalidate. Maybe I can study and do some Navajo faces instead.
