And that is way overboard. Isn't an NDA a civil contract? How about the UK Official Secrets Act of 1911? Much of it is still in effect. If you approach a restricted space, it's a felony. If you make a sketch that might be useful to an enemy, it's a felony. In 1934, Angela Lansbury's father wrote a book about his father. He inadvertently quoted an official document. He was convicted and the book recalled for censorship. In 1936, an MP said Britain's air defenses were inadequate. He was charged. In 1938, the act of 1911 was amended so that the public interest could be used as a defense. I believe it was amended again in 1989 so that the public interest could no longer be used as a defense.
