Thanks, that will helpful when sdcc gets those functions.

Is there any particular reason you left out strtoimax() and strtoumax()?

Both approaches suggested in your pdf basically do the conversion using
the biggest integer. That is useful for code size when users use
multiple functions. But on the other strtol(), could be implemented with
just long multiplications; the approaches in the pdf would create a
dependency from strtol() on long long multiplications, which can be
quite expensive.
