And I can't imagine why anyone else would either. owl showed some extremely contrived cases - Jobs vs jobs and MBps vs Mbps and Dick (his friend) vs dick (his hobby) - but I don't think a serious case can be made for case-sensitivity. I don't think VB ever allowed case-sensitivity. VBA in Access didn't - when you changed the case of a variable in the Dim statement, all uses of it changed at the same time. When you changed the case of a variable outside the Dim statement, it automatically changed back to the case as written in the Dim statement. Like a lot of people, I often used camelCase variable names with a prefix to identify the data type: iEmpCnt = integer var to count employees sSQL = string var to hold SQL statements
