In the real world, my GNU/Linux laptop works better than any Windows PC I've ever owned, from 3 to XP. (And I've spent a fair amount of time using other people's Windows 7 machines.) Why should I have to buy a licence for an inferior product which I'll never use the next time I buy a laptop?
