I was trying to use a local business to get my next laptop, and I can't
currently do this without paying a licence fee to a company whose
business practices are anathema to me, for a product which I have no use
for and cannot resell. It's bad for me, bad for the shop owner and his
employees, and probably bad for those of his customers who may be smart
enough to use Linux but decide that they might as well use Windows
because they have to pay for it anyway.

As Rich pointed out, it's monopoly exclusion and it sucks.

And I'm not bitching, I'm ranting.
