That's not *quite* an accurate description of the defect. The
grammar in 6.5.3 clearly indicates _Alignof, unlike sizeof, cannot
be applied to an expression. (I've never seen an explanation for
this restriction.) The defect is that 6.3.2.1p3 lists the operand
of _Alignof as one of the contexts where an array expression is
not converted to a pointer. That was corrected in the published
C11 standard.
Another defect in N1570 is that the definitions of __STD_VERSION__
and __STDC_LIB_EXT1__ are incorrect (both are shown as `201ymmL`,
with the "ymm" in italics). This error also appears in the published
C11 standard, but it was corrected in the first (and so far only)
Technical Corrigendum (both are now `201112L`).
