If you want to write your own string functions that are in some way
better than the standard ones, that's fine (though you're likely
to reinvent a number of wheels).
But the standard functions are, well, *standard*. Even if Microsoft
"deprecates" them, they still support them, and they still work.
If you want to use them, just use them, and figure out how
to disable Microsoft's deprecation warnings. Writing your own
mystrcpy() function that does the same thing as strcpy(), just to
avoid a warning, is pointless, error-prone, and likely to have a
performance cost.
