No, I'm not talking about using the tablet as an input device for 
a computer. I'm talking about using the tablet with a big monitor, 
no other computer involved. 

The usefulness of what I'm talking about has become more clear 
thanks to one naysayer's reply pointing out the simple fact that 
even when your tablet is connected to a big monitor, you still 
must keep your eye on the small tablet screen when clumsily 
tapping. That's because there is no pointer showing on the 
monitor, there is no way to know where your touch input will occur 
without looking at the small tablet screen. 

For that reason alone, obviously using the tablet screen as a 
touchpad (with the touchpad pointer showing on the monitor) when 
the tablet is connected to a big monitor would be much better than 
the way it is simply mirroring the tablet output on the monitor. 

Also useful would be tapping someplace on the tablet screen to 
momentarily replace the touchpad with a virtual keyboard. Or... 
Being able to resize the touchpad showing on the tablet screen and 
maybe simultaneously showing a keyboard (of course without showing
the keyboard on the monitor).
