The problem is that eating less and burning more requires a *lot* of psychological management. That's why there are sooooo many different diets out there. They all make use of psychology. However, it's not even *that* simple. If one psychological method worked to make people burn more and eat less, we'd only need a single diet book and everyone would be thin again. So, everyone has to find the psychological method that works for *them*! For me, it's the ability to *easily* enter into my portable device the food I eat in general terms (e.g., 1 large bowl of pasta, 1 8oz glass of milk, etc.), and then to have the application calculate the calories. All the application has to do is summarize those calories per day against my weight-loss goals. I don't see *why* every program I have tested needs the Internet to do that. Why can't they just have a database like offline map programs do?
