It all comes down to money. Microsoft makes LOTS of money, therefore any 
evil they do, any product they rush to the market in beta state, any 
hobbyware they force on their customers, any insecure Malware Magnet OS 
they thrust on the world MUST be forgiven because, after all, they make 
money. LOTS of it and that's all that matters. 

The same can be said for Apple with their insane profit margins. Even 
though Apple is now at about 12% of the world's smartphone market, they 
make more money per unit and therefore, in the upside-down "logic" of 
iCultists (and WinDrones) they are a "success." As if being reamed for a 
product is something to brag about. 

Meanwhile Linux -- in their myopic opinion -- doesn't "make money." Never 
mind Red Hat, IBM, Google, the movie studios, the web hosters, Amazon and 
the millions of embedded Linux devices, Linux doesn't make money in their 
small minds -- and that's all that matters. Greed rules them. And greed, 
by its very nature, short circuits the brain.
