I still think it would be easier to just ignore the parasite entirely. 
If he is obsessed with responding to every post which even mentions him, 
then killfiling him with remove the first type of posts that he responds 
to: those responding directly to him. He'll still respond to those which 
talk ABOUT him but even those would disappear after a while because 
everyone would get sick of talking about the clown. As a result, he'd 
start new threads in the hope that someone new would pop up. In 1995 and 
2005 this worked as people would come in every so often but Usenet is 
dying and this is no longer a reality.
