I would rather chance an upgrade on an existing machine but I have to admit that anyone who relies on a machine for their business wouldn't want to risk the downtime and/or the possibility that an upgrade would fail. I'm actually curious which distribution companies which rely on GNU/Linux for their business use. Redhat perhaps?
