The Z-system was a nice step forward from CP/M, 'till Linux
(with Xinu, Minix, Uzi and such along the way).
I'm unsure how far the Z-system went
and what was the preferred platform.
I suspect the SB180 was the most popular
since it had the clout of Byte, BIX, Steve Ciarcia and all.
Too much to research ...

Funny you should mention museums.
I'm active with MARCH: the NJ vintage computer museum

a member of the InfoAge science center

located on what was Marconi's Belmar wireless station,
then an army base:

BUT it's essential for reading all the archives
still on floppy (not yet copied to new media/formats).
Particularly when it natively handles wonky formats.

And to our chagrin, the paper's still useful
whereas most machine formats are hard to read back.
It probably makes for a nice flip-book animation.

I remember the ads for the Paper Tiger.
And the Banana/Gorilla ("buy a banana, save a bunch").
I still have my Olivetti spark-jet printer from the DAK catalogue.
And a few copies of the Damark closeout/liquidation catalogue
to prove the silly prices we used to pay for printers and disks!
