From the "still a gem" department: Title: Ruby community mourns Jim Weirich Author: Date: Thu, 20 Feb 2014 16:45:31 -0500 Link: http://lwn.net/Articles/587446/rss The Ruby community is mourning the passing of Jim Weirich, who was a well-known Rubyist and the creator of Rake[1] (Ruby make). A thread on Hacker News[2] has some remembrances of Weirich, as does his last commit[3] on GitHub (fittingly, it was a change to a Rakefile).
